Property Accountant

Our agency is assisting in the search for a Property Accountant to join our client's team. We are looking for self-starters with a genuine interest in people, and an individual loves numbers and is quick to problem solve. The primary role is maintain accurate accounting records, supporting operations, track expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Maintain the posting, correcting, reporting, and production of accounts receivables and payables to ensure accurate, timely information is available for reporting
• Handle balancing and reconciliation of complex transactions
• Meet all deadlines necessary to complete month-end in the allowed time
• Assist in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries
• Verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records; prepare statements and vouchers
• This role will work on interdepartmental projects as needed.

Qualifications include:

• 4+ years of accounting experience within the hospitality or real estate industry
• BS Degree in Accounting (highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge and experience using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Hard-working and detailed personality
• Keen eye for detail
• A drive to grow and learn.
