Schedule: Flexible 10 AM - 8:30 PM 4-day work week


Concierge/Valet

REPORTS TO: General Manager/Assistant General Manager

WORK HOURS: Regular Shift Schedule Assigned by Management (Additional Opportunities for Extra Shifts Also Offered)

OVERVIEW: Assists residents, visitors, vendors, contractors and employees by providing services necessary to ensure a friendly, efficient and safe environment, and performs all other duties as directed by the supervisor. Helps maintain the cleanliness, safety and maintenance of the building and the Common Areas, both inside and outside..

Devotes majority of his/her time and focus to welcoming residents and guests in the front lobby/door. He/she is the “face” of the staff, therefore he/she must present himself/herself in the most professional and polished manner possible. He/she will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including customer service, administrative, and minor janitorial responsibilities. In addition, he/she will provide valet service to residents and guests.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, determined by management, in order to meet the needs of the residents, visitors, vendors, contractors and employees

DRESS CODE: Arrive well groomed, clean and presentable at the start of each shift. All employees must present themselves in a neat, clean and professional image at all times. All articles of clothing, including items provided by management must be properly cared for and maintained. Ripped or damaged uniform items may not be worn to work.

DUTIES:

  • Meets, greets, announces and verifies authorization of all residents, visitors,

contractors and employees, directing them to the appropriate area of the building and offers any assistance required

  • Answers all incoming telephone calls using proper telephone etiquette
  • Receives messages and immediately distributes to the intended party
  • Directs and coordinates all deliveries
  • Maintains and monitors all security and service logs
  • Monitors and enforces safety procedures
  • Maintains secure storage and control of all keys issued to him/her
  • Assists with maintaining the cleanliness standards of the Common Areas
  • Maintains a clean, neat and professional appearance
  • Wears the proper uniform while on duty
  • Maintains a neat, organized, clean and safe work environment
  • Understands the building safety procedures and their individual role in maintaining a safe environment
  • Understands the building emergency procedures and their role in an emergency

situation

  • Reports any accident, maintenance issue, safety or security concern immediately to the supervisor
  • Understands and follows employee guidelines
  • Clean driver’s record (no DWI, points or convictions for moving violations)
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Maintains a cordial and respectful relationship with the residents, visitors,

contractors, vendors and fellow employees

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.

Physical: Requires fingering, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, climbing, walking,

Repetitive motions, listening ability, visual acuity and good speaking skills, driving, parking.

Regular duties will include the following; however, additional responsibilities may be added by management from time to time. A daily “shift duties” worksheet that contains recurring tasks that should be performed during every shift is available at the work station.

COMPENSATION: This is a NON-EXEMPT position where the employee is paid on a bi-weekly basis. Paychecks are distributed via EFT by Worth Ross Management, Inc. Company sponsored benefits and paid time off are available only to eligible full-time employees.

All non-exempt employees are eligible to take advantage of the following company paid, non-contiguous breaks during each eight (8) hour shift. All breaks must be preapproved by the concierge and/or the manager on duty.

  • one (1) lunch/dinner break of up to 30 minutes
  • two (2) “coffee” breaks of up to 15 minutes each

Additionally, all non-exempt employees are eligible to receive part of the holiday gratuity fund each December. Funds are allocated by management based upon performance and seniority. The holiday gratuity fund serves as a medium for residents to show appreciation to staff.
