MEDICAL BILLER
A well known Johnson County company is seeking a Medical Biller to add to their staff.
The Medical Biller will be responsible for a variety of duties that include:
- Posting charges for electronic claims submission, data entry, familiar with billing including Medicare
- Medicaid and insurance billing experience is preferred
- Must be able to read EOB and assist patients with billing questions and appeals.
- Ability to work with patients and clinic staff to verify patient demographics, financial and medical information.
- Must have knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 codes, medical terminology.
- Required to work outstanding A/R and collect on patient balances.
- Administrative support work for the office
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR MEDICAL BILLER POSITION:
- 3+ years experience processing Medicare billing
- Medicaid and insurance billing experience is preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Adaptability, flexibility, multi-tasking and problem-solving
