PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating the shipping activities for outbound shipments, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and monitor the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers and distribution centers.
- Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
- Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external partners, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance and export/import regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, and logistics operations. Upload all shipping documentation, including pre-ship photos, packing slips and Bill of Lading (BOL) into WorkNet.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and addressing any concerns or issues related to logistics.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to negotiate favorable rates and terms, ensuring cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to develop and implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, reduce transit times, and minimize transportation costs while considering factors like traffic patterns and delivery schedules.
- Adhere to established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as required by the manager

- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including warehouse personnel, production personnel, and transportation providers, to achieve common logistics objectives.
- Customer Focus: Dedication to meeting customer needs and expectations by delivering products on time, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a high level of service quality in all logistical activities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1- 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
