General Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be a crucial member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and maintain our production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute preventative maintenance activities according to the PM schedule, ensuring all tasks are recorded.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair needs, minimizing production downtime.
- Install and set up new equipment to align with production requirements.
- Manage maintenance materials and spare parts inventory, including requisitioning and monitoring.
- Supervise external contractors and ensure compliance with our standards.
- Liaise with the Manufacturing Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Conduct machine and equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs.
- Fabricate or modify plant equipment as needed.
- Engage in troubleshooting activities to resolve equipment issues.
- Actively participate in Safety Committee Meetings and implement related action items.
- Ensure all work orders are completed and submitted for proper documentation.
- Contribute to facilities management planning.
- Adhere to and implement relevant standards like TS-16949, ISO 14001, and AS9100.
- Drive continuous improvement in your area through various initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated mechanical proficiency, particularly in machine shop settings.
- Proven experience in repair and maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with a solid track record.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
