Lab Technician in Sample Management

Responsibilities:

Perform agrichemical Sample Management.  Responsible for order fulfillment of compounds, including accurate weighing to specified quantities, complying with requested container types, and labeling and secure packaging techniques. Should be computer proficient and have experience working with an analytical balance, label printers, barcode readers.

Assist with sample preparation of test materials using various automated and robotic equipment. This includes agricultural experiment compounds as well as commercial standards. Running the automation as well as trouble shooting when issues arise. 

Maintain safe and clean working environment in laboratory

Familiar with general laboratory working environment, safety standards and SOPs

Skills:

· Associate degree or higher in Chemistry or scientific field

· Familiar with handling chemical samples including commercial pesticides and solvents or   ability to learn

·Work safely in a laboratory setting – attend safety meetings and complete safety training

· Work as part of a team and self-motivated

· Organized and detail-oriented is a must

· Functional written and oral communication skills

· Take direction; respond well to changes in priorities and tasks performed

· Ability to meet deadlines

· Math skills to convert unit types

· Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Word, Excel
