We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team! 

The Software Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining test cases, verifying mapping data from client modalities to Core Sound Imaging medical devices, as well as implementing, verifying, and deploying service requests. Responsibilities also include analyzing test results and communicating with development team to assist in problem resolution, and writing product specification, help manuals and other technical documents.

A Software Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that the final product observes the company's quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying any deviations from quality standards. The Software Quality Assurance Specialist is critical to the company's reputation and integrity, making sure that the products and services are not only reliable and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. This position is currently On-Site.

Responsibilities

Examples of Key Duties: (Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary.)

  • Improve requirements as they come in from the Support department.
  • Implement and monitor test scripts to assess functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of the service or product.
  • Identify the files affected and develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
  • Draft software specifications, quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards.
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
  • Prepare the validation steps and assign to Development to implement, verify and deploy feature requests.
  • Responsible for verifying mappings of new clients and updating them as needed.
  • Update mappings as clients send new measurements or acquire new machines.
  • Prepare and execute the system validation report.
  • Responsible for scheduling design reviews and maintaining applicable records.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that the design process is followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above and the additional requirements listed below.  

  • Proven experience as Software Quality Assurance Specialist or relevant role.
  • Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies of quality assurance and standards (S/W life cycle) is preferred.
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and databases.
  • Functional understanding of programming concepts and the ability to create and follow basic logic processes. Experience with PHP and MySQL is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possesses the ability to function in a controlled, regulated environment, and handle and control confidential data and information.
