Who We Are:

The average graduation rate from a four-year college in America is over 60%. However, it is only 20% for first-generation students and a mere 4% for foster youth. 25% of foster youth graduates will be homeless after graduation.

At Ready to Succeed, we are changing these ratios everyday, one student at a time.

Ready to Succeed (RTS) empowers first-generation and foster youth college students to graduate, launch and accelerate their careers, and reach their full potential. We offer our RTS Scholars a unique combination of personalized college and career coaching, connections to industry professionals, placements in paid internships, and access to financial and mental health resources.

Our program is a proven path to career success.

About the ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR role at Ready to Succeed:

The Scholar Programs department at RTS has a lot of moving parts and this role is the glue that keeps it all running smoothly. Collaborating closely with the Pathways Team to onboard any new volunteer or employment partners to RTS.

Creating and distributing communications, pre- and post-workshop materials, event scheduling, scholar informational interview scheduling, event RSVPs, etc.

Back-end management of RTS scholar workshops and other Zoom events, including note-taking, with the opportunity to lead (or co-lead) your own workshop(s). Additional support for coordinating any in-person events (like company site visits).

At least one (1) internship or job of relevant experience in a similar support role in non-profit, marketing, employer relations, volunteer engagement, higher education, or business sectors (HR, talent recruitment roles will also be considered). If no experience, a passion for making an impact on the lives of others.

Great organizational skills and comfortability with online tools like Google Workspace and MS Office.

Demonstrated experience managing data and building reports; you genuinely get excited when you learn a new Google Sheets equation. Excel will be considered but Salesforce or other comparable CRM preferred.

Strong demonstrated skills in writing, communication, presentation, time and project management; you feel comfortable communicating in person, by phone, over email, text, and know how to leverage the newest digital and project management tools.
