Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Establishes productive and professional relationships with buyers and key account sales reps throughout North America
- Manages existing key accounts to achieve sales and profit goals. Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies using analytical data to drive revenue growth at existing accounts.
- Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
- May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Acts as advisor to the sales team regarding OEM projects, tasks, and operations.
- Identifies and approaches key or strategic partners and sets short- and long-term channel strategies.
- Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Identifies, evaluates and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers.
- Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for maintaining a close relationship with existing clients.
- Acquires new customers, and retains and expands existing customer relationships.
- Develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel.
- Prepare quarterly and annual sales projections
- Reports to VP of Sales
- Travel up to 30% to visit all customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or comparable work experience
- 5+ years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
- Proven work experience as a Key Account Manager, National Sales Account Manager, or another relevant role
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
- Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, NetSuite, Zoho CRM or Hubspot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to multi-task; detail-oriented; fast learner; well-organized
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
This position will require travel (20-30% throughout the year)
