Job Description

Sedona Staffing Services is hiring for an Accountant to work for a Temple TX based company. The accountant is responsible for the collection of tax-related information, reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, county, and local levels in a timely manner, and advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies. The Accountant is also responsible for collecting, tracking, and correcting the company's finances, including performing financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year and providing financial information to management.

Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.00 per hour DOE

Duties will include but not limited to:

Work with CPA to Devise tax strategies
Create financial data collection systems, and maintain the corporate financial database
Complete required financial reporting in a timely manner
Prepare and update tax provision schedules
Update the company sales tax database as tax rates change
Coordinate audits by various financial authorities
Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings
Research the basis for tax positions to be taken
Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Proven experience in financial accounting, auditing, and analysis.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
