Arundel Lodge, Inc. is a behavioral health agency located in Edgewater, MD that improves the lives of children, adults, and families impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. Arundel Lodge's Health Home provides care coordination, integrating the services needed to address all of a person's medical, as well as behavioral health needs.

This is a senior management position requiring general and specific knowledge of physical health, mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for directing the agency’s Behavioral Health Home activities to support persons served in the development and maintenance of healthy lifestyles. Some of the primary responsibilities are;


  • Direct activities to obtain and maintain State of Maryland standards for Person Centered Medical Home.
  • With agency leadership, act as a “champion” for the Person Centered Medical Home philosophy and provide education to staff.
  • Ensure that all person centered Medical Home related trainings are being implemented and maintained by the Healthcare Home team.
  • Develop relationships with hospitals to assist in creating partnerships for client inpatient and discharge planning.
  • Develop relationships with medical providers in the community to offer comprehensive services to persons served enrolled in Arundel Lodge’s Behavioral Health Home
  • Develop quality indicator projects surrounding healthcare screening, treatment plan healthcare goals and prescriber information.
  • Develop appropriate reporting mechanisms and provide reports including statistical data, quarterly report and QA as indicated
  • Provide input for the preparation of the annual Behavioral Health Home operating budget and oversee the fiscal operation of the program.

Other qualifications include;

  • Expert knowledge in the philosophy, principles, design and methodology of human services delivery.
  • Understanding and experience in the effective use of principles of administration, consultation and program development.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with local, state and national human service delivery system, as well as social and business communities as they interface with functional needs of persons with serious mental illnesses.

Education:

Possession of a Master’s Degree in nursing, social work, health care administration or related area preferred, or a Bachelor’s Degree with relevant work experience which uniquely qualifies the

individual for the job. Must have current RN license to practice nursing in State of Maryland. Four years positively referenced work relevant work experience.
