Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Deliver English language reading, writing, listening, and speaking interventions.
- Provide an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide support to students.
- Teach and support students with their English language skills.
- Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with the EAL programs.
- Maintain high levels of behavior and discipline.
- Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
- Work cooperatively with classroom and subject teachers to plan and deliver support to EAL and other students.
- Monitor and record students' learning to ensure they remain on track to achieve challenging targets.
- Maintain records of pupils' progress.
- Engage in admission process for prospective new students, conduct admissions interviews and support decision making for families joining the school.
- A recognized EAL/ESL/TEOSOL qualification and experience teaching in a school setting.
- Working knowledge of EAL best practice and up-to-date teaching, learning & assessment methods.
- Understanding of EAL in the mainstream philosophy and desire to continue professional development in the field of EAL.
- Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance learning opportunities.
- Experience in maintaining records of pupils' progress.
- Experience in planning, preparing, and delivering schemes of work in accordance with EAL programs.
