Job Description

Job Title: Young Adult Mental Health & Substance Abuse Therapist

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

  • Relocation assistance may be offered to eligible candidates based on their geographical location.

Work Environment: Teen & Young Adult Outpatient Treatment Center

Compensation: $57,500- $68,000 Annual Salary

Licensure Requirements: Clinical License LPC, LCSW, and LMFT. Provisional Licenses will also be considered. LPCC, LSW, LMFTC. If you are licensed in another state, you must be able to transfer your license to CO before your start date

As a Young Adult Dual Diagnosis Therapist, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions for young adults in our partial hospitalization program, using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches. You will help them cope with their mental health and substance use issues and support their recovery and growth.
  • Manage a small caseload of clients, maintaining regular communication and documentation. You will set clear boundaries and expectations and manage your time and resources efficiently.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of experts.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you need to have:

  • A master's degree in a field related to this job.
  • A clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or a provisional license (LPC, LSW, LMFTC).
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment, preferably in a detox or residential setting.
  • Ability to conduct individual or group therapy using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain thorough and accurate records.
