Material Handler

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for checking stock, unloading materials, organizing items, and keeping work areas clean for the manufacturing plant. Their duties include emptying the compressor, stocking metal, counting and unloading stock, and sweeping the shop. The Material Handler may need to operate a forklift and use ladders and scaffolding as well. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a results driven approach with good multitasking and time management skills. This person should be able to work independently as well as in a team. They may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FULL-TIME MATERIAL HANDLER

• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• May occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift no less than 70 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and be comfortable up to 6 feet off the ground.
• Must be physically able to pass forklift certification.

FULL-TIME SCHEDULES

The plant is open Monday through Friday, daytime hours and this is an hourly position.
