Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Certified Pool Operator to oversee the maintenance, operation, and safety of our aquatic facilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pool chemistry, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance to ensure the smooth functioning and cleanliness of our pools.
Responsibilities:
1. Pool Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain pool systems, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeders, to ensure optimal performance and water quality.
2. Chemical Management: Monitor and adjust chemical levels in pools to comply with health and safety regulations and maintain proper water balance.
3. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for patrons and staff.
4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, chemical usage, and water quality measurements.
5. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, such as pool contamination or equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of patrons.
6. Staff Training: Train and supervise pool staff on proper maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response techniques.
7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
8. Inspections: Coordinate and facilitate routine inspections by health authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Possess a valid Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in pool operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and safety regulations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patrons, staff, and regulatory officials.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues and water quality problems.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
