General Accounting Clerk

Accounting Clerk Position:

We are looking to add an organized and detailed-oriented individual to our accounting team as an Accounting Clerk.  The successful candidate will have a crucial knowledge of the tasks of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, they will ensure accuracy and contribute to the overall efficiency of the process. 

Primary responsibilities include:

Accounts Receivable

• Generate Daily invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor receivables aging & contact customers for all outstanding receivables.
• Record all receipts accurately to maintain accurate records.
• Research and reconcile customer accounts to aid timely collections.

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy and obtain necessary approvals/documents.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors as approved.

Data Entry & Record-Keeping

• Maintain accurate records.
• Enter financial data into the accounting system with a high level of precision.
• Assist in the maintenance of organized and well-documented financial files.
• Additional clerk tasks may be assigned as needed.

Communication and Collaboration

• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with external customers and internal departments.

Qualifications and Responsibilities :

• Accounts Payable & Receivables 2 years’ experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Attention to Detail and accuracy required.
• A positive attitude and good team skills are critical.
• Excel skills should be proficient.
• An education in accounting or finance is a plus.  Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
