SUMMARY: Direct provider of professional clinical services authorized by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) including diagnostic assessment, individual and/or group psychotherapy, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders under the direct supervision of an independently licensed clinician. You must be licensed in the state of Ohio as an LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LSW, LISW or LISW-S

CORE COMPETENCIES:

 Ability to establish rapport, develop trust and build collaborative working alliance

 Familiar and competent in the use of different counseling and psychotherapy techniques

 Adheres to the code of counselor and social worker ethics

 Skillful in taking a psychosocial history, identifying and analyzing behavioral/emotional traits and developing an ITP to address the issues

 Skillful is assessing suicidal/homicidal risk and responding appropriately

 Ability to identify signs of exacerbation and decompensation of mental illness and develop a plan of management which may include other team members

 Ability to work effectively with diversity both in clients and co-workers, including interdisciplinary teams

 Good communication skills both verbal and written

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Provides direct mental health services, diagnostic assessment; and develop individual treatment plans.

 Maintain professional records and client histories, conforming to OMHAS form and standards.

 Professional consultation to agencies, schools, pediatricians regarding client issues and programs.

 Acquainted with and subject to the rules and regulations of the Ohio Counselor , Social Worker and Marriage Family Therapist Board, as well as ethical guidelines of the American Counselor's Association and the National Association of Social Workers.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree and LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC license from the Ohio Counselor, Social. A Bachelor's degree with an LSW will be considered. Worker Board. And Marriage Family Therapist Board. Broad theoretical knowledge in child development, developmental disabilities and psychopathology. One to two years experience in counseling and psychotherapy with children /adolescents and/ or adults. Ability to work with a wide range of resource professionals, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, and CPST workers.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: The following are requirements of this job and must be met and maintained at all times during employment in this job:

1. Ability to work well with others

2. Ability to pass criminal background security screenings as required by regulations/laws related to: a) performing the essential duties of this job; b) working in and accessing partner institutions such as the criminal justice facilities, school, residential facilities, etc., c) working in and accessing a MTHSS institution such as a childcare center, residential center, or senior center, etc.

3. Possession of all valid professional licenses required by regulations/laws and accreditation related to performing the essential duties of the job.

4. Possession of a valid Standard Care Agreement if applicable to this job.

5. Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license

6. Possession of an automobile drivers insurance policy that meets state minimum requirements

7. Possession of an automobile with valid plates which meet state requirements

8. Ability to perform the following for extended periods, periodically and frequently: a) Lift a minimum of 10 lbs., b) Stoop, c) Kneel; d) Bend; e) Feel; f) Walk; and g) Stand.

9. Remain free from being listed by a State, County, City or federal organization as excluded, debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible to participate in government funded programs including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Childcare Vouchers, Senior Services, Child Welfare or other.

10. Remain free from being listed on the Department of Health and Human Services Office or the Inspector General Cumulative Sanctions Report;

11. Remain free from being listed on the General Services Administration List of Parties Excluded from the Federal Procurement and Non-Procurement Programs.
