Tyson & Mendes is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our IT team.

Objectives of this role:

  • Work in tandem with the Tyson & Mendes IT and MSP teams to identify, implement & manage the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the firm
  • Ensure proper systems performance, uptime, and scale, while maintaining high standards for current and future cloud-based systems


Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of the Director of IT, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud systems, including data storage, document management, and advanced analytics
  • Own all aspects of cloud systems solutions, including planning, requirements, testing, quality assurance and maintenance
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and systems maintenance for current and future systems
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures with current and future systems
  • Educate end-users on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
  • Provide high-touch and exceptional customer service to all end-users


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics
  • Microsoft Azure certification
  • Three or more years of experience in designing, and implementing cloud solutions and integrations
  • Understanding of and experience working within the ITIL framework
  • Experience working with: Microsoft Azure, M365, advanced analytics
  • Proven ability to collaborate with MSPs and subject-matter experts
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
