JDE CNC Admin - 53453

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of JDE CNC Admin, to work in Franklin lakes, NJ.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

• Install and configure JDE server components such as Enterprise server, deployment server, etc.
• Apply ESUs and ASUs (Electronic Software Updates and Updates).
• Configure Web Servers like WebSphere and WebLogic.
• Set up BSSV Server instances and configure AIS and ADF for mobile application instances.
• Administer UDOs (User Defined Objects).
• Install and configure Server Manager and its agents.
• Create and execute installation plans, conduct post-installation log analysis and testing.

Upgrade Activities:

• Perform application release and tools release upgrades.
• Plan and execute cutover activities for upgrades.
• Handle go-live activities for upgrades.

Platform Experience:

• Hands-on experience with JDE supported server platforms (UNIX, Linux, Windows, iSeries).
• Experience with JDE supported databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2).
• Configure server clustering and Oracle RAC, Grid, SQL cluster.
• Basic knowledge of networking, firewall, and load balancers.

User/Role and Security Management:

• Manage user profiles according to customer requirements.
• Configure LDAP integration.
• Administer user profiles end-to-end.
• Implement full JDE security framework.
• Configure different types of securities and resolve security conflicts.
• Implement Segregation of Duties (SOD) based on requirements.

Object Management Configuration:

• Set up status flows for object promotion.
• Configure roles for status change and transfer activity rules.
• Set up allowed actions related to objects and OMW (Object Management Workbench) roles.

Package Management:

• Build and deploy full and update packages.
• Backup objects to different pathcodes or as PAR files.
• Execute special instructions like table/index generation and backup.

Change Management:

• Promote OMW projects for regular and ESU changes.
• Promote retrofitted objects to custom pathcodes.
• Manage OMW logging and tracking.

Menu (Task View) Management:

• Create and delete menus/task views.
• Setup role-based menu filtering.
• Promote tasks and task views between environments.

Job Scheduling:

• Implement JDE or third-party scheduler.
• Create and manage job schedules.
• Purge scheduler job records and manage scheduler downtime.

Web Client (Fat Client) Management:

• Setup web client/fat client and package installation.
• Enable different types of logging on a fat client and manage logs.

ESU/ASU Management:

• Install ESUs or paper fixes and implement pre and post installation tasks.
• Perform impact analysis and object promotion related to ESUs.
• Custom Pathcode and Environment Management:
• Create custom pathcodes and environments.
• Define and configure custom data sources.
• Configure OCM (Object Configuration Management) setup.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in JDE CNC administration with proficiency in various aspects including installation, configuration, upgrade activities, security management, object management, package management, change management, job scheduling, and web client management.
• Strong technical skills in JDE CNC administration tools and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members.
