Perform highly diversified quality assurance functions to evaluate, inspect, test and release assigned company or vendor products.  Ensure highest possible product quality and adherence to customer and established requirements and regulations.  May perform special evaluative inspections of developmental or manufacturing parts, assemblies, and documentation.    

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform quality audits, in-process and final inspections and/or test in all phases of the manufacturing cycle.
• Review nonconforming materials reports, ensure disposition activities are appropriate and well documented.
• Assist in the evaluation of data to support corrective action and process/product improvement.
• Assist in creation and implementing of new methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product. 
• Perform device history record review for complete, legible and accurate documentation for products.
• Support activities related to the release of product for distribution and initiate nonconformance documentation for issues identified during audits or inspection.
• Train other inspectors on the use of electronic systems utilized inspection processes and documentation practices.
• Tactfully and effectively communicate with a variety of departments to share facts and data.
• Escalate repetitive discrepancies, unusual defects, and potential trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education requirements consist of a high school diploma.  Requires at least 3 years experience in a Quality field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Attention to detail and ability to understand and follow procedures while maintaining compliance to the Quality Management System.  For KMC Systems, Inc., knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO Standards is required.
