Water Damage Restoration Technician

**Job Title: Water Mitigation Technician (1099 Independent Contractor)**

Southern Construction, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Water Mitigation Technician to join our team in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. **Job Description:**
- Communicate effectively with the Regional Manager on a daily basis.
- Utilize power tools proficiently for various tasks.
- Have experience in the safe demolition of household materials such as floors, cabinets, walls, etc.
- Ability to disconnect appliances as needed.
- Proficient in creating detailed sketches.
- Maintain cleanliness during demolition work, including covering floors, using plastic on contents, removing nails, and ensuring clean cuts on drywall.
- Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics to remove insulation and set up equipment.
- Willingness to be on-call and respond to job sites within 2 hours of receiving a call from the manager.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Take photos of jobs before, during, and after completion.
- Conduct daily moisture and atmospheric readings.
- Drive home a company van with a gas card and all necessary equipment after a verification period.

**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in water mitigation and restoration work.
- Knowledge of power tools and demolition techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including long days and being on-call.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness during work.
- Willingness to work independently and take initiative.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- IICRC WRT certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with Mica software is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Experience with Matterport is a plus.
