Commercial Construction Project Manager - REMOTE OPPORTUNITY!

Established in 2008, this highly reputable Commercial General Contractor based out of Sandy Springs seeks to hire a Project Manager to join their rapidly expanding team! This opportunity stands out because they allow their Project Managers to work from the comfort of their own home when not on the job site! Projects include Aviation, Corporate Office, K-12, Banks, Restaurants, and Specialty Markets. Company has several projects lined up and are hoping for a quick hire!

RESPONSIBILITIES...

• Contract Documents. Analyzes the project’s plans, specifications to gain an expert understanding of the overall scope of work, each subcontractor’s scope of work, the risks associated with completing the project in accordance with all stakeholder’s expectations.
• Scheduling. Controls the overall progress of client projects, to include subcontractor scheduling, equipment/materials delivery, etc., to include producing a weekly forward-looking schedule (e.g. 3 week “look ahead”) of work to be completed in accordance with overall critical path schedule.
• Subcontractor and Staff Supervision. Supervises all subcontractor daily activities to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with contract documents, plans, specifications, project schedule and all applicable standards, means/methods and client’s requirements. Supervision includes conducting a required weekly subcontractor coordination meeting at the jobsite.
• Budget Management. Manages each project in adherence with project’s budget and identifies opportunities to enhance construction value by decreasing costs without negatively impacting quality or project safety.
• Client Liaison. Regularly communicates with the client, resolving field related variances and communicating any potential change order or conflicts to the project management team.
• Safety & Quality Management. Maintains all require company, client and regulatory Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) guidelines and reports, to include daily training, job hazard reporting, corrective action, etc. “First line of defense” in ensuring all subcontractors work quality meets client’s expectations and contract document requirements, and identifies all defective work in place with the applicable subcontractor.
• Project Reporting. Submits regularly scheduled project reports via Procore to track schedule status, workers onsite, subcontractor production, material deliveries, status photographs and safety observations.

Background Checks. Homeland Security clearances will be required for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE...

• Bachelor of Science in Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent work experience, or comparable experience.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in managing construction projects, with requisite knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Familiarity in the Aviation, Corporate, Distribution/Logistics, Education, Food/Beverage, Government and Retail industries a major plus.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Candidates should have strong math and analytical skills, as well as an eye for detail.
• Ability to supervise, schedule and multitask
