Summary:
This individual manages the daily functions of the FirstBank Consumer and Commercial Loan Document Prep team. This group has the primary responsibilities of ensuring that the documentation created for loan closings is correct and that all loan documents and collateral are accurate and filed in compliance with the Bank's loan policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exercise daily supervision and assure the departmental objectives are achieved in providing accurate and timely loan documentation
- Meets all pre-established customer service goals particularly by ensuring that loan closing documents are provided to lenders quickly and accurately
- Develop and train competent staff to meet current and future operations commitments. Provide assistance and support to staff in dealing with issues that may arise. Supervise the resolution of particularly sensitive or complex situations. Ensure that staff members are fully informed of applicable compliance regulations, legal requirements, policies, and procedures
- Keep open communication with the various departments of the LSC. This should be done to encourage communication and allow the opportunity to ask questions and resolve issues
- Implement appropriate controls and action plans regarding the assigned function to assure efficient and effective management
- Ensure that bank and customer information is treated in a confidential manner
- Develop and review departmental guidelines, procedures, and internal controls on a continual basis to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate and service levels are met or exceeded.
- Cultivate an environment that supports diversity, teamwork, and performance. Provide leadership though communication, performance management, development and recognition of staff
- Manage the team by hiring, coaching, training and providing direction to team members through feedback to support personal development and ongoing improvement
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent. College degree or coursework in finance or related studies is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in consumer and commercial loan operations, loan documentation, processing, or other similar jobs
- 3+ years of experience management or previous leadership experience
- Must have extensive TRID experience and knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of overall loan documentation including lien perfection rules
- Good understanding of loan policy and regulatory compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and other similar applications

- Must be accurate, flexible, organized, and able to independently manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, especially at month and quarter ends why maintaining accuracy
- Communicates effectively with customers and all levels of bank employees.
- Respectful demeanor toward other associates and managers that promotes a positive and professional work environment.
- Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and confidentiality and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
