We are seeking a Drone Pilot to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Operate and control drones in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant

laws, regulations, and company policies.

· Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the drone is in proper working condition.

· Plan and execute drone flights according to project requirements, ensuring the safety of

personnel and property.

· Capture high-quality aerial footage and imagery as per project specifications.

· Maintain and clean drone equipment regularly, ensuring optimal performance.

· Keep accurate records of flight activities, maintenance, and any incidents or accidents

that may occur.

Qualifications

· Valid Drone Pilot License: Must possess a FAA’s part 107 pilot’s certificate issued by the

appropriate regulatory authority.

· Regulations: Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding

drone operations, including airspace restrictions, flight restrictions, and privacy laws

· Flight Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 50-100 flight experience on similar model

drones.

· Navigation Skills: Proficient in operating drones using remote controls or autonomous

flight software.

· Communication: Effective communication skills to consult with project managers,

clients, and team members during pre-flight planning and execution.

· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise

during drone operations.

· Diligence: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection, flight path

planning, and compliance with project requirements.

· Physical Fitness: Good physical fitness and hand-eye coordination to manage the remote

controller and monitor drone in flight.

Certifications

· Valid Drone Pilot License: Must possess a FAA’s part 107 pilot’s certificate issued by the

appropriate regulatory authority.

· First Aid and CPR: Possess a valid certification in First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary

Resuscitation).

· Additional Accepted Certifications: Any additional certifications related to drone

operations, such as specialized aerial photography, thermal imaging, or surveying.

 

Equipment Knowledge:

· Familiarity with Drone Systems: Thorough understanding of the drone model(s) to be

operated, including its specifications, capabilities, and limitations.

· Software Proficiency: Proficient in using drone flight software and applications for flight

planning, data analysis, and image/video editing.

 

Safety Protocols:

· Adhere to strict protocols and procedures, such as pre-flight checklists, emergency

procedures, and incident reporting.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in drone technology to

ensure safe and efficient operations.

· Conduct risk assessments before each flight to identify potential hazards and develop

risk mitigation strategies.

· Demonstrate environmental consciousness by adhering to environmental regulations

and guidelines during flights, especially in sensitive or restricted areas.

Security Awareness:

· Understand the importance of data security and privacy when operating drones,

especially when capturing imagery or footage.

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive or classified information obtained during drone

operations.

Insurance Coverage:

· Provide proof of insurance coverage for drone operations, including liability insurance

and coverage for equipment damage or loss.

Professionalism:

· Represent TruNorthe in a professional manner, maintaining a positive and respectful

attitude when dealing with clients, colleagues, and the public.

Compliance:

· Comply with all company policies, guidelines, and legal requirements related to drone

operations and airspace regulations, ensuring the safe and responsible use of drones

during all flight activities.

· Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to

drone operations through continuous education and training programs.

Equipment Maintenance and Upkeep:

· Monitor and maintain the condition of drone equipment, performing regular inspections

and troubleshooting as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Keep accurate and up-to-date records of flight logs, maintenance logs, incident reports,

and any required paperwork for compliance and reporting purposes
