Environmental Services (EVS) Aide

Peninsula Surgery Center (PSC) is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) located in Redwood City. We are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Our current specialties are: Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and Pain Management. 

The Environmental Services Aide (EVS) is responsible for cleaning and servicing all areas of the Center.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean each area of the Center according to OSHA guidelines
• Frequently cleaning the operating rooms; terminal cleaning at the end of each day
• Dust each area and wipe surfaces with cleaning solution
• Vacuum, sweep, or mop floors 
• Regularly clean bathrooms and empty trash as needed; thorough cleaning done at the end of each day
• Stock scrubs, towels, and linen in designated areas
• Special cleaning projects will be assigned as needed

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in hospitality or medical field
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods; ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Ability to communicate effectively and promote favorable facility image with physicians, patients, and general public
• Ability to be punctual, make decisions,  and solve problems
