Machine Mechanic – 1st & 2nd shifts

ROLE RUNDOWN
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspection of product, operation and repair of equipment, troubleshooting, counting and record production, knowledge of good housekeeping practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to frequently lift to 75 lbs.
SAFETY
Ability to stand continuously for extended periods of time, up to the shift day. Ability to frequently lift cartons above (up to eight feet overhead) or below shoulder level. Ability to push, pull, grasp, hold, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop on a repetitive basis. Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visually detect defects in wire or fastener
- Learn the functions of various lubes, oils, etc.
- Make minor adjustments or repairs to equipment.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping and GMP standards.
- Attend all required training sessions and weekly team meeting.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately peers and supervisors.
- Other jobs as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to read and write and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Capable of understanding and practicing Total Quality Process.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Be a team player with an ability to work well with others.
- Ability to stand continuously for extended periods of time, up to the whole shift (10 hours)
- Ability to move and/or lift to 75 lbs. on a continuous basis for 100% of working hours.
- Ability to frequently lift cartons above (up to eight feet overhead) or below shoulder level.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop on a repetitive basis.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, including grasping and holding.
- Maintain flexibility regarding job assignments, including working overtime as needed.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
