Flavor Lab Technician

We have an exciting opportunity to hire a Flavor Lab Technician! The role will entail compounding flavors accurately according to formula sheet.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately compound flavors with moderate supervision within designated timeframe.
• Completes assigned projects and internal requests within the designated time frame. Notifies management of any expected delays, issues, etc., in a timely manner. Follows all procedures for documentation of flavor specifications and project completion.
• Assists in the evaluation of synthetic and natural raw materials for organoleptic quality and specification review.
• Retain samples of all newly created flavors, keys and other modifications. Notifies supervisor and takes appropriate actions if any stability or processing issues are observed.
• Ability to evaluate flavors in a variety of bases.
• Leads general up-keep, maintenance and stocking of the Flavor Laboratory, e.g., lab cleanliness, raw material and flavor sample archival and inventory management.
• Gain considerable understanding of flavor materials and their various uses.
• Provides necessary flavor standards and related technical information to QC, Production, and Regulatory as needed.
• Supports internal teams with issues or challenges as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree in Science or related discipline
• 1+ years in a flavor / food industry preferred with experience in food preparation and/or flavor research and development
• Demonstrates two consecutive years of Quality Contributor work as a Flavor Technician with continued growth year over year
