Summary
Renaissance Montessori Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Montessori Elementary mixed-age group classroom for children 6 through 12 years old.
RMA is a long-standing non-profit Montessori School working with children 2.5 through 12 years old.We have a newer Montessori Elementary Program and are seeking the right candidate to help us continue this expansion.
Duties
We are seeking an individual who believes in inclusive education, has an understanding of and love for the Montessori approach, experience with multiple elementary ages and grades, understands new and growing education programs and all of the growing pains that go along with it, has experience teaching children who are exceptional and those who require supports (behavioral and academic), and is prepared to guide children as individuals in the messiness that is the second plane of development.
Since the program is very small, we are looking for an individual who is willing to boost the growth of the Elementary program including participating in promotion meetings with families and other staff.
Requirements
The right candidate will:
·Hold or be willing to obtain in the summer of 2024 an Elementary Montessori Credential (6 through 12) through an AMI or MACTE accredited training program
·Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
·Have 3 years’ experience in teaching mixed-age groups of children
·Previous experience with Special/Exceptional Education
·Plan for, build, and implement Montessori Elementary classroom and curriculum that is congruent with the current Montessori Primary program
·Be willing to support a growing school with all of the growing pains that come
·Take continuing education that supports the diverse learning objectives of RMA and it’s students
·Attend and participate in all school events, trainings and meetings
·Uphold the RMA Core Values: Joy, Snug, Harmonious, Purposeful, Engaged
·Be able to work in the United States
·Have a clean background check
