Laborer / Warehouseman
As a laborer employed at Tyler Distribution, duties to be performed would be, but not limited to the following:
- Operate all powered and unpowered worksavers, or pallet jacks, etc.
- Employee must load, unload, and transport all warehouse freight. This product may weigh anywhere from fifteen to fifty pounds.
- Employee must be able to handle cases to load, or unload. This product may weigh anywhere from fifteen to fifty pounds.
- Employee must be able to count, repack, or repalletize all product when necessary.
- Employee must be able to spend a long amount of time standing on concrete floors.
- Also sweep, clean and perform other manual functions necessary to all warehouse operations.
Physical demands and abilities
- Regularly sitting or standing on a powered industrial truck
- Frequently lifting to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
- Having a good sense of balance
- Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
