Wiring Harness Assembly Technician, $17.00/hr - Wixom, MI

Do you have any experience in any sort of an electrical manufacturing environment? Are you looking for an opportunity to get your foot in the door with a good company and to learn? Are you comfortable doing whatever is asked of you and mechanically inclined with a basic knowledge of tools? If so, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!

Qualifications

Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards.
Numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions.
Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters and wire strippers.
Conducts functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures.
Use of a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products.

Skills

Has assembly/production experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in related field
Motivated and detail oriented
Proficient in basic math skills
Possesses good communication skills and a great attitude.
Able to read, write and speak English.

A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working 6am-2:30pm, M-F. In this position, you’d be mainly responsible for assembly of wiring harnesses. This will involve stripping, crimping, and potentially but not as often having to solder as well. There are a lot of chances to learn new things that can help you throughout your career in this role!
