Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in mental health, counseling, psychology, behavioral science, or
equivalent field of study.
Current valid and unrestricted license or associate license in the state of Kentucky (LPCC, LCSW ).
Must possess strong clinical documentation skills, with a particular emphasis on the ability to
conduct comprehensive assessments and articulate these findings in a thorough, clear, and timely
manner. Preferably one or more years of experience with licensure.
Experience in working with addiction in a residential and/or intensive outpatient milieu.
Strong knowledge of recovery, mental health, co-occurring disorders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
*Responsibilities:* As a member of the clinical staff at 1st Step Recovery, you will:
Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling services for
individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health diagnoses.
Offer therapeutic interventions, crisis counseling, and psychosocial evaluations for individuals,
groups, and families as needed.
In a timely manner properly document client charts for informed therapeutic decisions.
Participate in team meetings to coordinate treatment plans and services for clients.
Contribute to program graduations and community addiction events.
Stay well-versed in company policies, procedures, and rules, maintaining the highest ethical
standards.
Performing detailed client assessments and evaluations to understand their needs and challenges.
Writing comprehensive assessment reports that accurately capture client history, clinical
observations, and diagnostic impressions.
Demonstrating proficiency in maintaining timely and accurate records in accordance with
organizational and regulatory standards.
Ability to effectively communicate assessment results and treatment recommendations to clients,
families, and other healthcare professionals.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
Candidates should be adept at managing their time efficiently to ensure documentation is completed
within required timeframes while maintaining a high standard of quality.
