Cost Accountant

Natural Organics Inc - NaturesPlus is currently looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team. The Cost Accountant's primary responsibilities is to gather financial data (e.g. sales, COGS, inventory purchases, material costs and purchase and production variances) and analyze it to uncover inefficiencies, track the changes in material costs and report data to management.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze financial data
• Create cost and profitability estimates for Sales, R&D, Finance, etc.
• Update Costs in SAP between plants for Foreign Currency transactions
• Compare standards with actual costs
• Analyze Production variances
• Monitor costs after significant changes in products or processes
• Create reports utilizing SAP and Excel for analyses purposes
• Revalue inventory and maintain standard costs in SAP
• Various assignments from President and/or Finance Director

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant study
• Proven work experienceas a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar role
• Computer literacy, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook -MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
• SAP experience using FI CO MM & PP modules strongly preferred
• Strong problem-solving, analysis and time management skills and high level of organization and detail-orientation
• Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize with strong time management skills
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
