Job Title: Language Arts Grade 5 Teacher

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports to: Upper Elementary School Principal

Start Date: August 2024, Following School Calendar

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and Christian values
  • Teach Language Arts concepts effectively, including reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and vocabulary
  • Foster a Christ-like classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and are able to reach their full potential
  • Incorporate biblical principles and Christian worldview into daily instruction and classroom discussions
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
  • Eager to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance the overall educational experience and support student success
  • Willingness to be creative and innovative in trying new teaching approaches with students
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality that elicits joy and positivity with students, staff, and parents
  • Willing to be responsible for other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
  • Current ODE teaching licensure
  • Prior teaching experience, preferably in grade 4-6 school settings
  • Strong knowledge of Ohio language arts curriculum standards and instructional best practices
