Job Summary
This position assists the Agency Grant Coordinator in ensuring the agency's agreements and grant payments are accurate and complete according to grants policy and procedure. This position works with division grants staff and other fiscal staff such as accounts payable. The incumbent will review and approve grant agreements and amendments while using the department's electronic grant management system. The incumbent also serves as an important internal control point by reviewing grant payment requests against the purchase order and the grants management system for payment approval. This position assists the Agency Grant Coordinator, and other team members on grants management aspects which may include capital grants or special projects.
*This position will have the option of teleworking; however, it will be based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of database management sufficient to set up and run basic queries, review and analyze data, and identify problem areas which may include data, formulas, or security.
- Receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents.
- Respond effectively to clients, coworkers, and customers on questions of agency processes, operations and procedures (in person, in writing, on the phone, and through presentations and other electronic correspondence).
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse and underserve communities.
- Experience with the grants management process.
Physical Requirements
Very light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small hand tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
