DVS is hiring a Data Scientist to support a large DoD team. This position prefers an active secret clearance but will consider candidates who are eligible for a clearance. The work location will be Fort Huachuca, AZ position (possible remote) supporting the RCC-C, which provides cutting-edge technology in an enterprise environment.

Job Summary:

As a Data Scientist, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to extract, analyze, and visualize O365 and other data using Power BI. You will be responsible for developing data models, implementing statistical algorithms, and creating interactive dashboards to empower stakeholders with actionable insights. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and objectives.
• Extract, clean, and preprocess data from various sources for analysis.
• Develop predictive models, statistical analyses, and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Building tools to automate data collection.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making.
• Conduct data exploration and visualization to identify trends and patterns.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis and Power BI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Security+ and a computer certification
• Proficiency in data modeling, data transformation, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, including the creation of interactive reports and dashboards.
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Python or R is a plus.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

• Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
• Execute tasks independently and work as a team.

• Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
