Civil CAD Technician (Utilities Team)

CivilCorp, LLC is a professional service firm offering civil engineering and land surveying services throughout Texas. CivilCorp’s main office is in Victoria, Texas, with offices in Houston, Fulshear, Corpus Christi and Round Rock.

CivilCorp is seeking a Civil CAD Technician to join our Utilities team in the Fulshear, TX office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide CAD support and assist engineers and design staff with civil design focused primarily on Transportation projects.
• Assignments may include performing basic Civil Design in reference to Utilities, such as line work pertaining to: Water system layout, Sanitary Sewer collection system layout, stormwater system layout, telecommunications network layout, oil and gas network layout, electrical network layouts with a reference to roadway and rail projects.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand topographic maps and survey data.
• Work experience preparing Utility Plan Sheets and Roll Plots
• Must have background working with Utilities and transportation project base files.
• Must be able to manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous projects while providing good follow-through with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a group setting.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Preferred:

• Associate degree or higher in civil engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of and experience working with MicroStation - V8i / Open Roads Designer (ORD)
• Experience working on TxDOT, Metro, County and City projects.
• Experience with ArcView
