RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides technical guidance and training to peers regarding equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Evaluates building and equipment conditions to provide leadership with the installation, repair solutions or improvement recommendations.
• Assist with small O&M or capital improvement projects.
• Assist external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and federal, state, or local code requirements.
• Completes or assists in wiring, testing, inspecting, and maintaining environmental or life safety systems to meet federal, state, and local compliance regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
• Certified Texas Master Electrician License is a must.
• Bilingual in Mandarin or another language is (preferred).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7+ years of directly related experience in Facilities Maintenance, commercial Construction, or commercial/light industrial experiences.
• Expert knowledge of Building Construction, Electrical, Plumbing or Fire systems.
• Knowledge of engineering and design principals.
• Knowledge of environmental & life safety compliance regulations.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local code requirements.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, single line diagram, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to evaluate building or equipment condition and provide repair solutions or improvement recommendations to leadership.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to afterhours emergencies when necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of technology such as personal computers, Microsoft applications, and work management systems such as SAP.
