JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Speech Language Pathologist - NICU

Full-Time

All Speech Language Pathologist candidates for the NICU will have the following job responsibilities:

• You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient's speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient's communication assets and liabilities.
• You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
• You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.
• You will document progress in patient's chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
• You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.

All Speech Language Pathologist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Speech Pathologist
• Bachelors Degree
• NICU experience required
• MUST HAVE AT LEAST min 3-5 YRs OF SLP NICU EXP IN ACUTE CARE SETTING
