Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Kentville, Nova Scotia

Position Type: Travel Contract

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: 4 days per week

Pay Rate: $90-100/hr (based on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Emergency Room (ER) nursing for a travel position in Kentville, Nova Scotia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting, adhering to established protocols and standards of care.

• Assess patients' conditions and prioritize care based on acuity level.

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by healthcare providers.

• Perform triage assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to determine appropriate patient disposition.

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in Nova Scotia preferred, but other licensure accepted

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an emergency room setting.

• Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
