Ellsworth, an industry leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment, currently has a Quality Inspector opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives, located in Germantown, WI.

The Quality Inspector will provide direct support to the Quality, ePlus and Warehouse teams for incoming material, ePlus and Dock to Stock programs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ years of related industrial experience, preferably from a custom adhesive, chemical, coatings/paint, pharmaceutical/food manufacturing or packaging/dispensing environment

  • Associates degree (college or technical) in a related field of study or the equivalent of 3 years of experience and HS Diploma or GED.

  • Proficient on a personal computer and have knowledge of ERP Systems, Intelex, Distribution Systems, Inventory Software, Spreadsheet Software and Word Processing Software.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect product and review related documentation prior to shipment to customer. Inspection may include incoming receiving inspection, first piece inspection, source inspection, and/or final inspection.

  • Review all documentation for completeness, including stamping related labels, manufacturer certifications and other documentation as necessary.

  • Reject and document non-conforming orders.

  • Communicate inspection findings with appropriate Quality, Inside Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse personnel.

  • Control the revisions of all Certificates of Conformity and Packslips

  • Register all new suppliers and ensure that they meet Ellsworth Quality Standards

  • SOrk with suppliers and customers on scorecards including follow up and escalation

  • Work with sales teams and Quality manager to set up new dock-to-stock programs.

  • Maintain inspection analytics and trending data to identify opportunities for improving processes and procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies.

  • Create customer specific forms and work instructions for new inspection requirements and maintain / update existing forms when necessary.

  • Review and upload customer supplied documentation (e.g. drawings, specifications, surveys, etc.) into the Quality Management System.

  • Review, process and communicate customer requests for quality ISO based information (e.g. questionnaires, new set-up forms, profiles forms, Reps and Certs, etc.).

  • Assist with processing corrections to Ellsworth’s certifications (e.g. Mil Spec, Customer Spec, customer requirements, etc.).

  • Participate on the Internal Audit Team, including; scheduling, interviewing document review and detailed report writing.

  • Maintain work instructions and ensure compliance to AS9120 Standard.

  • Perform general office duties and Quality related functions, as required by the Quality Manager.
