Cloud Systems Administrator

This work supports the design, implementation, maintenance, IT governance, and configuration management of Cloud-based Physical Security Enterprise Management Systems (PSEMS) as required to maintain 24/7/365 system uptimes for mission critical systems. As the PSEMS support lead, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing system administration and Tier 1 help desk and Tier 2 escalation support for a significant number of end users and system administrators. This position also leads and supports Physical Security System software suppliers and IT Enterprise and Cloud support personnel as required to develop, optimize, and maintain the systems architecture. Required work includes management and configuration of IT assets and the management and updates of all documentation required to license and operate the PSEMS within its mission environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and updates for all PSEMS virtualized environments (e.g. Lenel OnGuard) within the Cloud.
Perform routine maintenance and updates for PSEMS system elements.
Provide configuration, integration and optimization of all virtualized environments.
Participate in planning, design, and implementation of virtualized environments.
Provide on-call and help desk support as required for resolving business-critical issues.
Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution customers.
Engage third party support resources to assist in problem troubleshooting, service request tracking, and resolution.
Configure, patch, and manage virtualized Windows Server operating systems within the Cloud environment.
Support and develop content for all documentation, datasets, and engineered drawings of virtual and physical server environments (i.e. IP schema, Network diagrams, business process diagrams, diagrams, system architectures).
Document and track issues and resolutions within virtual and physical server environments.
Support and develop content for PSEMS standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and use cases for daily support routines and end user requirements.
Support virtual hypervisor and VDI environments (e.g. VMware, Acropolis)
Support Microsoft SQL databases within the PSEMS environment.
Travel domestically may be required up to 15% of the time for supporting PSEMS suppliers and system administrators.
Communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related Information Technology field from an accredited university.
Experience:
Five years of demonstrated performance supporting IT governance requirements (System Certification and Accreditation, Patch Management) as they apply to large, mission critical, secure Enterprise systems in the federal government space.
Experience with Cyber/IA compliance identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating them
Two years cloud-based network architecture support experience.
Three years of progressive IT systems administration and networking experience within an enterprise environment
Certifications: A minimum of one of the following certifications: MCSE, MCSA, AWS, CISSP, GIAC (certification must be current)
Clearance: Active public trust or secret clearance
