Jaxon Engineering is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team.

Jaxon Engineering is the leading full-service provider of High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) services worldwide, delivering world-class engineering, testing, construction, and sustainment services. The company is headquartered in Colorado Springs with employees working throughout the U.S.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to support operational oversight of projects, as well as scheduling, purchasing and asset and manpower allocation. The selected candidate will be a team player, while stretching performance standards for themself. This is a results-oriented "doer" who passionately finds ways over, around, and through barriers to success.

Salary: $65,000-80,000 annual, plus bonus eligibility

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.

Primary Duties

• Produces accurate and complete schedules for all active & anticipated projects
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
• Coordinates with customers to communicate project status and minimize scope creep
• Reviews and submits all project submittals
• Builds and maintains project schedules
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trend
• Maintains Jaxon's positive reputation while pursing excellence
• Communicates continuously and effectively with all project stakeholders
• Works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals

Requirements

• Solid understanding of construction industry processes
• Consistent history of successfully completing projects ahead of schedule and under budget
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to:

-read, understand and review project plans

-develop, review and submit project submittals

-work with PMs to complete projects successfully

-handle high stress situations well

-develop complex project schedules & organize projects before execution

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree or two years of experience as a project engineer or similar role for a specifically related field such as DoD contracting or EMP protection
• Experience coordinating project teams and schedules
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Top Secret clearance
• Willingness to be coached and willing to learn new skills in a growing industry
