Summary: Responsible for the purchase of HVAC and Plumbing materials, rentals and equipment for successful project outcomes. This is a non-exempt position, subject to overtime and reports to the purchasing manager. Function of the Purchasing Agent requires expeditious performance with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities Include:

Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures
Generate purchase orders and work orders
Purchasing of materials for projects
Locating suppliers and needed materials for HVAC and Plumbing Materials.
Vendor Negotiation and Time Management
Arrange for pick up and delivery of materials to project sites
Negotiate vendor terms, pricing and delivery
Keep tracking reports related to all purchases
Communication with the field, and project managers on materials, rentals and equipment

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

BA/BS Degree
Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
Minimum 5 Years Purchasing experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills.
