Open Shop Labor

A Glazier is responsible for assisting and installing projects in an orderly manner and completing a project from start to finish effectively and efficiently. For mini mechanics- Glaziers are accountable for helping hands-on with installing projects in an orderly manner. All Mechanics must represent Artistic Glass in a professional and well-behaved way. Requirements for this position can read a measuring tape, must be able to know how to handle and safely use tools, be able to multitask, be able to communicate with others, and can work with other crew members.

Responsibility:

Must have the minimum of 2-3 years worth of experience

• Have the ability to comprehend and understand the job requirements and shop drawings of a particular project.

• Ability to communicate and work with Glazier Mechanics throughout the project.
• Responsible for ensuring materials ( Tool box, screws, shims, etc) are kept in the appropriate bins and assigned to the specific place.
• Responsible to use equipment in a safely manner
• Responsible for following a timesheet given every day
• Must know how to complete specific tasks given from a supervisor or a project planner

Qualifications

• Must be able to adjust and install doors
• Must be able to know how to caulk
• Must be able to work with a crew dealing with glass
• Must be safe with handling all installation of glasses
• Must be able to use the following tools

• OSHA 30
• SST Card
• Drivers License ( Clean Record)

- Reading a tape measure
- Allen Keys
- Screw Gun
- Mallet

Schedule:

• 8-9 Hour shift
• Day Shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime depending on jobs
