Empowering students to dream big and achieve their goals is at the heart of the Mason City Schools DREAM Center Coordinator role. They achieve this by supporting staff in accessing resources for purposeful learning and by curating a dynamic collection of print and digital literacy resources that fuel student exploration and discovery.

They serve as the school's library and maker-space in one, fostering a vibrant community hub. As a district leader, the DREAM Center Coordinator spearheads efforts to support dynamic and supportive environments in all buildings where students explore their passions, develop talents, and chase their dreams fueled by exposure to high-quality learning and creation resources. The Coordinator collaborates with a dedicated team of educators to ensure this impactful experience for all students.

Minimum qualifications include:

Enthusiasm for working with youth and a genuine desire to help them succeed.
Library Science License (strongly recommended)
Creative, future-thinker with a knack for leading others and inspiring them to DREAM big.
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect and collaborate with students and colleagues.
Organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing needs of students and the school community.
