Position Overview

Surya is seeking a creative Visual Merchandising Coordinator with a passion for home decor and fashion. The ideal candidate is dialed in to current home décor and fashion trends and has a knack for predicting future trends. The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will be part of a talented team focused on creating visual concepts that promote the Surya brand and products in showrooms, catalogs and online.

Hybrid: Mon-Wed in office Thurs-Fri Option to work remote

Responsibilities of the Visual Merchandising Coordinator:

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will assist with visual merchandising of showrooms to deliver optimal presentation of products and standout guest experience
Make informed display recommendations by filtering through product lists and sales data
Facilitate showroom setup process, including cross-department project management
Coordinate and track samples and product shipments for tradeshows and photo shoots
Work with manager to execute, uphold, and maintain visual standards
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will assist with product selection and styling for photo shoots
Assist with design and installation of graphics
Administrative tasks related to tradeshows, events, and special projects
Build and maintain knowledge of visual merchandising strategies and current trends

Requirements for the Visual Merchandising Coordinator:

Bachelor’s degree (Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising or Interior Design focus is a plus)
1-2 years of professional experience in a creative team environment
Prior experience with visual merchandising and/or photography styling
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator must have knowledge of home decor/fashion trends and styles
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in Excel
Excellent time management skills with ability to quickly adapt to changing business environment
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines consistently
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator must drive for perfection with excellent organization skills and impeccable attention to detail
