Job Summary:
Reporting to the Document Control Supervisor, the Document Controller will perform a variety of document control functions to ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage and release of documentation and additionally, provides related administrative support thereof.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Review documentation for accuracy and conformance to written standards; amend non-conforming documents;
Create and update document control procedures and standardized formats;
Oversee company procedure updates/revisions and releases new and revised documents to Master Control database system;
Implement Master Control administration for new users and workflows for new projects;
Create Supplier Document placeholders within SolidWorks PDM for procured orders;
Manage flow of document packages between suppliers and interested internal parties; update supplier document registers and/or internal tracking databases;
Run Vendor Document Status Reports from SolidWorks PDM;
Maintain list of company employee initials used for approving documents and redlines;
Set up Work Order Project Folders on K Drive;
Update Customer Document Log with new specifications received;
Process and track documentation required to be professionally translated;
Process Purchase Requisitions, as requested by internal customers;
Retain industry specifications, standards and regulations within the Bardex E-library;
Participate in internal and external ISO audits related to document control and information management;
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality internal and external customer service.
Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of administrative support experience working with technical documents, work procedures and quality specifications; experience in engineering, quality and/or production in a manufacturing environment will be preferred; experience with document management systems desirable.
AA Degree or technical school training/certification in related discipline; or combination of education, training and experience;
Knowledge of general rules regarding document configuration control and administration;
Computer savvy and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge in SolidWorks and Adobe Editor, preferred, but will train;
Astute oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Exceptional organizational, proof-reading, time management, multi-tasking, attention to detail and follow-through capabilities;
Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment;
Other duties as assigned.
Working Hours:
8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday
Compensation:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour DOE for this full-time, non-exempt position.
