Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Position Summary (position purpose):

The CNC Machinist is responsible for determining the order of operations needed for fabricating high-precision parts, setting up and adjusting CNC machine tools and aligning/securing holding fixtures as a critical part of the Machine Shop Production Team.

Job Function (day-to-day responsibilities):

  • Align, set up, secure holding fixtures, cutting tool and material
  • Control machining processes
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of produced parts
  • Make suggestions for necessary corrections to the program
  • Inspect incoming raw material and make preparations (cut to required size) for CNC Milling center
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Communicate with engineers' dimensions and tolerance requirements
  • Any other job-related activity as assigned by the Supervisor/Team leader

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or qualifying education equivalent (international)

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • CNC machinist trade school or equivalent experience
  • 5-year experience with HAAS (or other manufacturer) CNC Milling centers.
  • Good knowledge of reading blueprints and drawing
  • Industrial equipment experience in mechanical, electrical pneumatic areas
  • Ability to read, write, and orally communicate in English.
  • Computer savvy
  • Knowledge of main G-codes and M-codes

Preferences:
  • Ability to operate manual Milling, Lathe and Grinder will be a plus
  • Knowledge of CNC programming will be a plus
