Forensic Psychologist (Entry Level)

Initial primary responsibilities will involve completing all assigned tasks necessary with the goal of eventual advancement to an independent level of professional functioning as an unsupervised forensic psychologist within the practice. The majority of referrals to our practice are criminal in nature, although there are opportunities for involvement in civil, family, and law enforcement cases.Required EducationPh.D. or Psy.D.

However, preference will be given to candidates with previous forensic psychological experience and/or training.Initial responsibilities (may vary depending on level of experience): Forensic record review, analysis, and outlining of records Conduct interviews with collateral sources Assist with report preparation Administration and scoring of psychological testing Assist with evaluations as needed Contact attorneys or other referral sources to obtain relevant information and necessary records Handle sensitive/confidential records with extreme discretion Write professional, grammatically correct communications to our clients and colleagues, and respond to received communications in a timely manner Competently and correctly respond to requests or issues Maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues Other forensic-related assignments as neededMusts: Must be willing to work with individuals charged with crimes, both in and out of custody Must be willing to work with individuals with severe mental illness and/or personality disorders Must be able to emotionally handle disturbing images, language, written records, and videos Must be able to travel as needed to assist in evaluations and courtrooms, mostly in the tri-county area Must not be a clock-watcher. This is a salaried position.

Courtrooms, trials, and jails do not close exactly at 5 pm, meaning that some days will run longer than 8 hours.
