Hybrid work from home and support center position.

SSP America is hiring for a Payroll Implementation Specialist to support the Payroll Project Lead in the development and implementation of the Payroll (Employee Central Payroll) module of the new global HR system (SAP/SuccessFactors). This position will research payroll, human resource, and workforce management systems to document current flow and recommend changes for the successful migration of current HR/Payroll systems into SAP/SuccessFactors. The Payroll Implementation Specialist will look at the whole process, and all the data, and step-by-step be able to identify those things that will not be inline with the new process and make recommendations for change.

Basic job functions include:

  • Mapping of current processes, policies and business rules
  • Gathering and documenting all end-state processes, policies and business rules (keeping to the solution "vanilla" / best-practice process)
  • Gathering and documenting of any additional future business functional requirements (including all reporting definition)
  • Developing and documenting workarounds or process alternatives when original requirements cannot be met
  • Gathering and documenting the non-functional requirements of the future solution
  • Identifying and documenting proposed policy & process changes and additions required to make the to-be design vanilla
  • Supporting the Training & Communications Manager to produce a change & impact analysis based on the agreed documents and proposed policy & process changes and additions


Stakeholder Management:

  • Identifying and engaging stakeholder groups
  • Holding workshops with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring Business Design Authority review and sign off for all major design decisions
  • Managing relationships effectively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery

System Development:

  • Developing and documenting a set of end-to-end business scenarios and all associated testing scripts - ensuring these are traceable to business requirements
  • Identifying and coordinating user resources to execute UAT

Implementation.

  • Identifying, planning and implementing people, process, policy and organization change required for successful implementation
  • Supporting the management and delivery of associated implementation and change management across relevant business areas, such as supporting training delivery
  • Working with key stakeholders across the business to ensure ongoing alignment to proposed changes, understanding and ownership of change impacts
  • Contributing to the operations manuals and training materials as required
  • Designing, planning and implementing appropriate post Go-Live Support mechanisms and ensuring successful handover to BAU

Project Management.

  • Creating detailed project plans to achieve all activities and deliverables in line with program standards
  • Managing delivery of activities v plan
  • Providing weekly status reports in line with program standards
  • Ensuring integration and dependency management with other business design workstreams
  • Managing all risks, issues, actions and dependencies in line with program standards, escalating as appropriate for resolution

Team Contribution:

  • Supporting and role modeling effective team-working and collaborative behaviors with all members of the team and the wider business

The idea candidate must have previous experience in:

  • Multi-state payroll laws and a clear understanding of payroll process, requirements, and policies (required)
  • HR/Payroll technology - HRIS, payroll, and workforce management systems (required)
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders (required)
  • Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (required)
  • Must have previous system implementation experience (required)
  • Project and change management skills (preferred)
